An event promotion package and logo for Friends of Lakeshore State Park’s First Annual Wildflowers on the Water. This event was curated by local singer/songwriter Sarah Fierek and Friends of Lakeshore State Park to celebrate local Milwaukee musicians and artists and to support the work of Friends of Lakeshore State Park. I had fond memories visiting the park when I first moved to Milwaukee in 2018. After meeting with Sarah Fierek and having the opportunity to learn more about the Friends of Lakeshore State Park’s mission from their past President Susan Frautschi, I could not wait to dive into this project more.

logo & Design direction
It was important to tie in the Friends of Lakeshore State Park Logo to fit in with the rest of the design. I also wanted the date and time to balance this out seamlessly on posters or social posts. Visually the park itself and the wildflowers found during fall were important to highlight in this project.
Logo Iterations
30 logo designs were presented to Friends of Lakeshore State Park to choose from to lead the art direction. This is a collection of my logo iterations and art exploration that eventually evolved into the final design.
These iterations made me realize that the final logo had the most expressive and clear message to proceed with and Friends of Lakeshore State Park had agreed.
Now it was time to take my learning from these designs into the artwork composition for print and social applications.
Private label and merchandise
How do we continue to support Friends of Lakeshore State Park? Sarah Fierek’s mission through Sincerely in Song aims to support organizations like Friends of Lakeshore State Park through her songs. A portion of the proceeds from her original song “Wildflowers” contributes to planting more native wildflowers in the park.
To continue supporting this mission Sarah discussed partnering with Stone Creek Coffee and we were able to create a private label for the event.
